![]() It is because an auto-clicker is not only used for continuous mouse tapping, but it performs several other functions on the computer such as organizing files. Though all of them are not gamers, the demand for auto-clickers for Mac is growing. It is a general belief that mainly gamers use Windows Operating System, but the trend is changing, and users of the Mac operating system are increasing rapidly. Mostly an auto-clicker is used by the gamers as several games require continuous screen tapping. Using an auto-clicker will give you the advantage of completing such tasks, which are monotonous, boring, exhausting, and repetitive. Like me, you may find it's worth the $16, or you may find that this utility isn't for you.Read out guide to download and use autoclicker on your mac to automate mouse clicks.Īutoclicker is a piece of software that helps to stimulate automatic clicks and several other functions. There may be one or two little tweaks I'd like to see, but this is an interesting and useful piece of software.īefore you purchase DwellClick, I'd strongly suggest going to rapidclick's website and download the free trial version of this software which runs for 30 days. I use Alfred to launch, switch and manipulate most of my software, and DwellClick is a nice addition to that arsenal. Lastly, I should add that I'm primarily a keyboard person. Personally I'd like the double click icon (two dots) to be in the center. Personally, I'd find it more efficient if the pop-up panel could be reordered. ![]() Most clicking, however, is equivelant to a left-click, and there DwellClick excels. (That assumes you've checked the appropriate checkboxes in the Point and Click tab of the Trackpad menu under System Preference.) The same is true of a right-click. While there is a pop-up panel that allows double-clicking, most users will find that a double-tap is more efficient. Admitedly, moving the pointer is more of a reflexive move on my part, and in general, the less you move the pointer with DwellClick, the more efficient it becomes. Without being able to override the click, the cursor jumps to a different location. That setting also becomes important when moving the pointer away from the insertion point when wanting to type. There is no equivelant setting for that with a mouse. I found it less useful with a Magic Mouse than with the trackpad, particularly because there's a setting in Prefs that allows the user to override the default click if their finger remains on the trackpad. I would warn potential users that it takes some getting used to in order to learn this application, and not everyone will have the patience to master it. By playing with DwellClick's preferences, I was able to achieve the right timing for my reflexes and discovered I was able to get my work done faster than without it. I have neither, but find that the the ability to automatically enter the click was surprisingly more efficient than doing it manually. For those of you who feel that this is the height of laziness, I would reply that there are people with either RSI or carpal tunnel syndrome who probably find this application a godsend. The ability to have the click happen automatically is really excellent and helps speed up my work. The big advantage of this application comes when using a trackpad.
